At Resource Room, we saw this firsthand for years through tutoring, academic support, and work with students who needed something more personalized, more structured, and more humane. Students were capable. They were intelligent. But they were disengaged, overwhelmed, or simply going through the motions.

That is why we built Pathways.

What Pathways Academy Is Designed to Do

Pathways Academy is a private high school program in Holly Springs, NC built around a simple idea:

Students need structure, support, and purpose, not just coursework.

We do not separate academics from development. We build the entire day around both.

Because Resource Room is a complete academic support center, students can also access one on one tutoring support when needed and more targeted executive functioning coaching to strengthen organization, planning, time management, and follow through.

In many schools, social emotional learning is treated like an add on.

At Pathways, it is part of the daily structure.

Students are consistently working on:

• self awareness

We are not pulling students aside for occasional lessons. We are building these skills into how the day runs.

Resource Room is not a stand alone program trying to do one thing in isolation. We are part of a broader network of support for students and families. In addition to our in house academic services such as tutoring, executive functioning support, and our Homeschool Co-Op, we maintain relationships with ABA therapy providers and other trusted partners who support the physical, social, and emotional development of neurodiverse teens.

That matters.

For many families, success does not come from one service alone. It comes from having the right academic environment and the right outside supports working together. That is the kind of complete, thoughtful framework we believe students deserve.
